Location! Location! Location! This charming 2 bedroom and 1.5 bath villa has a wall of windows installed by the owner to capture the incredible ocean views allowing the outside to come in. As you go out onto the expanded lanai, you realize you are just steps away from the waters edge! The amazing cottage style unit offers great privacy with its location at the end of the complex and out of the flow of people traffic. The condo is very accommodating including a full kitchen for preparing meals in. Each morning you will wake up to a serene sunrise glistening over the water, making you realize your destination in paradise and setting the mood for another great day!

  This was a great place for the two of us. The location within Kapa'a was really convenient - it was actually really convenient to everything on the island. We were really happy with the way the grounds were manicured. All neighbors were respectful, quiet & were like-minded as we'd watch the sunrise each morning on our private patios. It was a really special little spot for our vacation.

  We have loved staying at the Kapaa Sands for over 15 years. First time in this unit. Beds are comfy and it’s got all your basic needs. I love the location and the bakery across the street was a plus! The unit could use sone help. The screen door fell off the track probably 50 times during our stay (despite lifting up while sliding like the note said to do). A few cockroaches and a strange looking bug in the kitchen cabinet. We ended up washing all the dishes and utensils before using (not clean). The carpet was filthy, found lots of presents (food, miscellaneous items) left on the floor from previous visitors which was gross. But we still like Kapaa Sands, and would go back :)

  Absolutely loved the location on the east coast. Beautiful views and amazing access to the water. We snorkeled with turtles the first two days in the ocean behind the condo. Some cosmetic issues: blade of the ceiling fan flew off in middle of the night, screen door fell off multiple times, **** roaches, aging unit needs some attention.

  We loved the beautiful location and easy access to the beach! However, the furniture and general interior looked older and less clean than we had expected based on the photos. Another issue we had was that it seemed like the property maintenance people (mostly/all men) walk around and enter buildings freely, which did make us feel a little unsafe at times. We were two women traveling alone, and one night when we returned to our rental, a wet doormat had randomly been placed in front of our door (it had not been there the previous nights), and this made us very scared that someone was inside our unit. We ended up approaching another male guest to help us enter the unit and make sure no one was inside. I think something that would have alleviated this issue was more communication from the staff, maybe to let us know that this was our doormat and they put it there. We did not have functioning kitchen lighting during our stay also, which was not a huge deal since we didn't use the kitchen. Lastly, we did not realize that we were right next to a public beach access path, so at night we did not feel completely safe. This was probably something I should have researched more on, and not the property management's fault. We loved the little welcome basket and the beach gear though. We were also able to check in early, which was very helpful since we arrived earlier than the official check in time. Thank you for a nice stay, we loved the sunrises and sunsets!
