Centrally located 10 minutes north of the Lihue airport, next to the Coconut Marketplace. Islander on the Beach is sitting on 6 acres of beautifully manicured gardens with swaying palms trees and cooling trade winds. This ocean front resort features a gorgeous pool and hot tub and is home to the local Sand Bar.

This ground floor studio has 2 full size beds, a fully stocked kitchenette with small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and tea kettle (no cooktop). Perfect for a small family or traveling friends. Wireless Internet, smart TV, cable, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler for your exploring day trips. Close to shopping, beaches and activities.   We stayed here for my girlfriend's birthday weekend and really enjoyed the location, peace and quiet. It was nice to be near amenities without being in a resort, especially since we live in Hawaii anyway. The little pool was just enough for the kiddo and when she was done with that, the beach was right there for her to play in the sand. If you are looking for a place that splits the distance between the attractions in Waimea and Hanalei, this would be my choice.

  It was a good location. Pretty area. Nice unit. However, I reached out to management for issues with roaches, the latch on the patio door was broken and no horizontal bar for security, lock on bathroom door didn't work, women's hair in the bathroom (we were all males). The light in the pool was broken when we got there and was never fixed the entire stay. The only thing that was fixed was a slow drain. If the unit was maintained as it should, it would be great. Also, the shrubbery in front blocks the view. As a suggestion, they should have the plants or the tree, but not both. Lots of potential though.

  The hotel was in a great location in all senses. In the middle of the island, easy to go the North and the South.
  Also it is in fron of the beach, with an amazing garden, and a few steps from a small shopping area with restaurants, shops an market.
  The apartment is very good and confortable, a bit small but as I was alone it didn't bother me. It is confortable and clean, with a good bathroom and a good shower.

  Beautiful grounds, great location convenient to many activities. Accommodations were clean and nicely appointed. We did think that laundry facilities would be on site somewhere- but they are only for the owners use. However a laundromat was located down the street and the other accommodations were lovely.

  We loved the unit and location. Definitely met our needs. It was a dim unit as many bulbs were out but other than that is was perfect for our family of 3. Lots of chairs, towels, boogie boards, coolers, snorkels gear. And the pool bar was just steps away as was the ocean!

  Islander on the Beach #137 was convenient and charming. The unit slept 4 of us comfortably and there were shops and eateries nearby. Unfortunately, we had to transfer out of the unit prior. This is a review of Shannon at Vacation Realty Hawaii instead. Shannon was awesome. She gave us a heads-up as soon as we landed that there was a plumbing issue with the unit and she worked to move us to a different unit. Since accommodations were difficult to come by, Shannon placed us in a different unit. Shannon did an awesome of keeping us abreast of the situation and proactively moved us into a different place without us having to ask/complain. Thank you!
