  The hotel was in a great location in all senses. In the middle of the island, easy to go the North and the South.
  Also it is in fron of the beach, with an amazing garden, and a few steps from a small shopping area with restaurants, shops an market.
  The apartment is very good and confortable, a bit small but as I was alone it didn't bother me. It is confortable and clean, with a good bathroom and a good shower.

  The location of the Islander is ideal for a stay in Kauai. It is close to everything, walking distance to a great shopping center that includes a market, excellent restaurants, it's on the ocean and has a nice pool. In addition, it is centrally located with easy access to both Princeville as well as Poipu.
  We made the property work for us however it was not the stay we were hoping for. To be fair the pricing was probably in line with the accommodations. Just know if you book here it's more of a place to hang your hat during the day and a good launching pad for doing things on the island rather than a place you will want to hang out at for the day etc. Had I read the fine print I would have understood that there was NO place to cook anything outside of a toaster oven. There is a refrigerator, but it is dorm room style. You won't want to bring anything back to the room to eat as there is little space in the room for that. There is an outside patio which is nice. In short, the condos are older and outdated, they are what one would call "sufficient". The pool is ok, loved the bar at the pool. Being near the water is a huge plus however the beach is not very accommodating for stretching out on a towel or for swimming as the pacific is a bit rough in this area. The beach is however beautiful, and you can roll out of bed to easily see spectacular sunrises. It has a nice boardwalk with GREAT accessibility to Lava Lava a fantastic restaurant.
  It may have been just me but trying to understand how to get into the property was challenging. They use a tumbler realtor lock, and it took me a long time to figure it out. You communicate with the landlord or management company via text and for the most part they were responsive. I think they would just wait me out when I asked questions knowing that eventually I would figure out on my own the answer to my question. They were always nice and polite. I am not sure this would be my pick in the future, but maybe.

  Beautiful grounds, great location convenient to many activities. Accommodations were clean and nicely appointed. We did think that laundry facilities would be on site somewhere- but they are only for the owners use. However a laundromat was located down the street and the other accommodations were lovely.

  We loved the unit and location. Definitely met our needs. It was a dim unit as many bulbs were out but other than that is was perfect for our family of 3. Lots of chairs, towels, boogie boards, coolers, snorkels gear. And the pool bar was just steps away as was the ocean!

  We stayed here the first few days of our trip and LOVED it! It’s in such a great location on the island, easy driving distance to Waimea Canyon, the falls, Ke’e beach/hike and so much more!   Islander on the Beach #137 was convenient and charming. The unit slept 4 of us comfortably and there were shops and eateries nearby. Unfortunately, we had to transfer out of the unit prior. This is a review of Shannon at Vacation Realty Hawaii instead. Shannon was awesome. She gave us a heads-up as soon as we landed that there was a plumbing issue with the unit and she worked to move us to a different unit. Since accommodations were difficult to come by, Shannon placed us in a different unit. Shannon did an awesome of keeping us abreast of the situation and proactively moved us into a different place without us having to ask/complain. Thank you!

  We had originally booked 3 nights, unfortunately our son got sick and we had to postpone our trip a month. We had to beg them to accommodate us and after several emails going back and forth they gave us two instead of our original three nights.
  The location is great but the room is outdated. After you flush twice the toilet starts leaking. TV was not working and when we tried to call they told us that we where only there for two nights. The location is a time share but there are several agencies that own individual units and rent them out. The location had a laundry mat but we couldn’t use it. But don’t worry there’s one about a mile away. We did use the pool, it was nice. We don’t recommend the jacuzzi, there’s a long line of 80 year olds that was to soak their feet their. We give it a 6.5/10.

  Our prior stays in this unit have been fine but this time it was one issue after another. Upon arrival, the a/c did not respond to the remote and after much searching, found the unit was turned off at the main. The internet was not working and had to be rebooted (glad we knew how) and this happened on a regular basis. The bathtub would not drain properly and a few times woke up to standing smelly water from the unit above! Lastly and of most importance, the patio set consisted of two regular size chairs and a bar height table making it useless to eat outside. Management notified the Islander re the drain, they were going to talk to Spectrum re the internet and said they inadvertently ordered the incorrect size table and would be reordering the correct one. So I’m sure things will all be resolved soon, but for us the stay was not a pleasant one. Very unfortunate.

  My cousin and I were so happy we found this place! The location was perfect and the studio had everything we needed.
